EDUCATION

  • Leads through The Education 2030 Framework for Action adopted by 184 UNESCO Member States, as per guided by the Education for All (EFA), and targets the Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4).
  • The Framework for Action aims at mobilizing all countries and partners around the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) on education and its targets, and proposes ways of implementing, coordinating, financing and monitoring SDG4-Education 2030 to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

tHE SCIENCES

  • Promotes research and capacity-building for the sound management of natural resources.
  • Promotes policies and strengthens human and institutional capacities in science, technology and innovation, with special emphasis on the basic sciences.
  • Promotes knowledge networks for disaster preparedness and mitigation and enhances national and regional coping capacities.

SOCIAL & HUMAN SCIENCES

  • Promotes principles, practices and ethical norms relevant for scientific and technological development.
